Stolen Crush is book 1 in the Lost Daughter of a Serial Killer series by C.M. Stunich.

Synopsis
Finding out you’re the daughter of a millionaire true crime novelist isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.
When I was two, I was kidnapped. Kidnapped by a loving family, sure, but still kidnapped.
Now, my biological mom wants me to live with her on the opposite side of the country.
Her … and my new stepdad and his jerk of a son: Parrish.
Wannabe tattoo artist, languorous rich boy, pouty mouth.
Starting a new life on the West Coast sucks, especially when there’s no love lost between me and my new family.
Oh, and my biological father? Did I mention that he’s a serial killer who wants me to play his games?
Find the right clues, follow the right trail, or someone I love gets hurt.
But what if he’s just kidnapped someone I hate instead?
Parrish Vanguard is a royal asshole.
The question is: does he deserve to die?
With the help of Parrish’s best friends—Maxx and Chasm—I have to risk everything to save a boy who considers himself my sworn enemy. Even if I save his ass, he’ll never thank me.
Lucky for him that our love-hate relationship isn’t a deal breaker.
I’ll play, Dad.
Start the game.

Review
Let me start off by saying that to enjoy this book I had to imagine that the characters were older than what they really were, the main character being only 16. So if that's not something you can get past you might want to skip this one. But since I was able to imagine them as college age I really enjoyed this book. Dakota is quirky although somewhat immature(but it actually fits with the age she was written), she's also strong because wow she has had it rough.
"That’s what I like about gaming, the ability to become someone or something else for a brief period of time. But in the end, reality always wins out. You can’t escape who you really are, can you?"
*Spoilers*
I did want to throat punch Parrish in the beginning but that's kind of the point so Stunich did a great job with that 😅 Dakota gave us an accurate description:
"This dude is a complete and utter tool, a tattooed Chad, a narrow-eyed, sulky, pouty, too-rich-for-his-own-good diva bastard."
And Tess?! Wow. What a cunt... No matter what happened, separating her from her "family" that she grew up with and not allowing her to have any contact with them was awful. And get her damn name right! It's not that hard
And on top of all of her family drama lets just throw in that her bio-dad is a serial killer. Yes please!
"...the blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb. What it really means is that the family you choose is stronger than the family you’re born to.”
