Synopsis
Only through blood can the deepest redemption be found...
He was born to ascend.
He was destined to lead.
He was never meant to fail.
Prophet Cain lies broken and defeated on the floor of his cell. A cell he has been thrown into by the one person who was supposed to stand by his side until the end. His flesh and blood, his only companion. His beloved twin brother.
Cain has sacrificed everything for his people. He left the safety and security of his life of study to infiltrate the infamous Hades Hangmen. He lived with them, rode with them, and then betrayed them. All in the name of a faith he can now feel slipping away from him. Like everything else he once held dear…
But then his isolation is broken. Another prisoner is brought to the cell next to his. A woman fighting her own demons and fears. A woman who Cain understands needs him, as he needs her.
As the connection between them grows, so does Cain’s resolve. He will right the wrongs he has done. He will atone for the evil acts carried out in his name. He will save the one he loves…
… Even if the battle takes him to the gates of hell itself.

Review
It honestly took me a while to start this book because I wasn't very interested in reading Riders story. I really disliked him in all the other books and didn't want to read about some girl falling for "the prophet." Especially when this book came right after Flame & Maddie's amazing story. BUT I'm glad I finally did because Rider really did redeem himself to me.
"I had been two men in my life. I was beginning to understand that neither of them were real. They were both the ultimate pretenders.
Rider pretended to be a Hangman, but always stood on the outside, looking in.
Cain pretended he was a prophet, outwardly faking strength, yet drowning in fear underneath.
But if both of these men were a ruse, then who the hell was I? Who was the real me?"
I highly suggest going into this one blind! So skip the rest of this review if you're trying to decide if you want to read Deep Redemption or not. Just trust me and DO IT!
**SPOILERS**
Harmony is my favorite female character from all the stories. I was ready to finally have a heroine that was a bad ass. While all the other girls are bad asses in their own right, I was excited to see one of the girls who wasn't so timid. Especially when she stood up for Rider against the entire MC!
"I would speak. I was tired of being silenced by men. I would speak, and they would listen!"
My biggest problem with this book was how much of an asshole Ky and Styx were. Like I get the unforgivable things that happened with Rider in the previous books. Trust me, I hated Rider too! But Rider completely redeemed himself to the people that counted the most, Bella, Mae, Maddie & Lilah. But that infuriating mindset of "keeping the bitches out of MC business"..oooo don't get me started. I loved the moment that Maddie told Flame that hurting Rider would hurt her. Him throwing down his weapons then threatening to kill his brothers?! This is why I will always be a Flame whore.
Of course, Flame & Maddie are still perfect and my all time favorite couple.
“I do not know much about matters of the heart. But I know what it is like to harbor feelings for a man people greatly disapprove of. Who people regard as wrong, unsalvageable or sinful.” Maddie blushed. “But I also know what it is like when you are in their arms. In their hearts. It is different. You can make them different . . . you can show them that they too can be saved, even when they believe they are a lost cause.” Maddie looked me directly in the eyes. “I know what Rider has done is bad. And I can see how much of a toll all this has been on you. But . . . but I do not believe he is evil. He may be lost, confused . . . but I believe he can be saved. You, Bella. You can save him. You have that ability."
I'm not gonna talk about all the bombs that were dropped in this book. But wow...there were ALOT.
Now I'm ready for AK to go get his girl!
Notable Highlights
“A pure soul always finds love. Even through hate, they will always find the ability to claim love.”
“I’m not good,” he argued. “I don’t believe that.”
I smiled. Pressing my forehead to his, I said, “Then I will believe it for you.”
“He had called me beautiful, but I could only think the same about him. His brown eyes and long dark hair were mesmerizing. His body was built to protect—hard and strong. But what I loved most when I looked into his gaze was the kindness it held.”
“My heart tore at the sadness in her voice. My throat clogged at her compassion. This is what this feels like, I thought. This is what affection was—unbarred, unforced… natural. No coercion. No panic. Just freely given.”
